This post is a tribute not only to this particular imbiss, but to all of them, all over Berlin. Ever since I moved here these places have been around, serving tasty food to a very low price. While some pizza places nowadays charges 18 euro (ridicolous) and there are bagels on offer for ten (revolting) this asia imbiss still offers a lovely sweet and sour soup for 1 euro and 30 cent. I have in periods been down and out of luck financially. It can be tough to have no cash, and it is easy to feel worn out when you work and work, but still can not afford to ever go out and enjoy yourself. Asian and middle eastern imbisses have saved me during these periods, offering soups and a sense of enjoyment for just a few euros. I want to thank them for that, and I urge you all to pay your local imbiss a visit sometime soon. They offer something unique back to your kiez, and have resisted the temptation to make a small fancy renovation just to be able to double or triple prices. Imbisses of Berlin, I adore you. Thanks for all the strength and food you have offered me.
